December is traditionally one of the busiest times of the year for hospitality venues, and for Checks & Greys at Blackburn Cathedral, maintaining smooth, efficient service is essential. Located within the historic Cathedral cloisters and overlooking the bustling square, this modern café attracts a diverse mix of visitors—locals, tourists, and Cathedral guests—looking for everything from a quick takeaway coffee to a relaxed sit-down lunch.

To support their growing footfall and enhance day-to-day operations, the team partnered with us to upgrade their point-of-sale system. Jack visited the site to complete a full installation tailored to the café’s workflow.

Jack fitted two Sapphire Touchscreen Terminals, each with a receipt printer and robust cash drawer. The entire setup was delivered fully configured and pre-programmed, ensuring the staff could begin training on the system straight away.

These terminals were positioned to streamline both counter service and back-of-house processes, helping staff move quickly during peak periods and maintain consistent service even on the busiest December days.

    The Grove is a stylish and versatile venue located close to the centre of Blackburn. Known for hosting weddings, celebrations, and corporate events, The Grove combines elegant event spaces with a relaxed café environment.

    The Café at The Grove provides a calm setting where guests can enjoy barista-made coffees and light refreshments, making the venue a popular choice for both special occasions and casual visits.

    As a busy multi-purpose venue, The Grove required an EPoS system that could adapt to different service styles, handle high transaction volumes, and deliver a seamless customer experience. Their team needed a solution that was both flexible and efficient, with the ability to transition quickly between counter service and table service. Smooth, reliable payment processing was also a key priority.

    Jack visited site and installed the Falcon 2 terminal – an EPoS solution designed for dynamic, fast-paced environments. This terminal offers:

        Situated near Hawkshead, in the Lake district - Cumbria, the beautiful Esthwaite Water is a 280-acre glacial lake that is not only a top spot for fishing but also perfect for a peaceful walk and a coffee at the lakeside café. Jack recently visited site after we were recommended to them, from another customer who also uses NWBM for their EPoS system, to install a touchscreen terminal, receipt printer and cash drawer. All hardware was configured, tested, and programmed off-site to ensure a smooth, plug-and-play installation. Within hours, the team at Savage Fishing was fully operational with minimal disruption to their daily business.
